SUNRISE weatherman and former V8 ute racer Grant Denyer has smoked his way into the grand final of "Dancing with the Stars" to be decided next
Tuesday night.

Denyer delivered a superb lesson in "heel and toe" technique to win the semi final, which saw the elimination of Human Nature star Toby Allen.

The midget weatherman will now size up against World boxing champion Kostya Tszyu in a winner take all finale that will rely on viewer voting
support to deliver the final knockout.

"My years in the V8 ute category have certainly honed my competitive spirit, and while the only dance practise I ever had was on the pedals during a down shift, the hand/eye co-ordination required in motor racing
must help in competitive dancing.

It's either that or I've spent far too much time watching grid girls doing their stuff." Denyer said. "I cant explain any other reason why I have come from the back of the grid to reach the final other than the great effort that dance partner Amanda Garner has put in to help me look O.K, plus the support that I've received from the motor racing
fraternity.

I always thought motor racing was competitive, but going toe to toe with Kostya on Tuesday night will be very daunting. It kinda like having Marcus Zukanovic, Damien White and Jack Elsegood three wide behind and
rubbing bumpers going into Turn One at Eastern Creek."

Race fans can help the motor racer KO the boxing champ by voting before
next Tuesday nights final.

Grant will be at the Oran Park round of the Yokohama V8 Ute Series this Sunday to pick up some last minute tipson improving his routine before
flying to Melbourne for the final programme.

"I've seen so many drivers dance around issues in the stewards office over the years, there's plenty still to learn" Denyer explained.
