Damien "Iceman" White may be from opposite sides of the country but tomorrow will line up side by side for Race One of Round Three of the Yokohama V8 Ute
Racing Series.

Both the Ford BF Falcon XR8 drivers came within the 1:09 mark as they hit
the 2.2km Wakefield Park Raceway today for qualifying.

Wade kept his edge from yesterday's practice sessions and will start on pole with White celebrating his 150th Ute race this weekend along side.

"It is a great privilege to be the first driver to rack up 150 V8 Ute races. I have had a great time in this category and have enjoyed some solid results. The category has actually had 154 races, but some of them were done by co-drivers in special events and I missed one event totally, but I have
still done more races than any other driver," said White.

Series leader Grant "Grunta" Johnson following recent surgery was a little under the weather today but still qualified his Holden SS Commodore in third position with James "Smally" Small fourth fastest in the Coopers Pale Ale
Racing Ford.

Another two BF Falcons secured row three with drivers Marcus Zukanovic and Jack Elsegood eager to take more points from Holden rival Johnson.

"I can't wait for tomorrow everything changes in race condition and I will
be ready to get out in front," said Zukanovic.

Row four will see a Holden vs. Ford showdown between Yanis Derums and Scott
Jennings.

Derums top seven qualifying effort was his best performance for the year in
the Kanga Loaders Commodore.

"I've done a lot of laps and testing at Wakefield and feel very comfortable around here. Here's hoping we can end up with a top five result for the
weekend," said Derums.

Holden boys Gary Baxter and Kim Jane will round off the top ten pack who are
only separated by 0.9 seconds.

There will be three crowd pleasing races for the Yokohama V8 Utes tomorrow
May 28.

Race two will be set as a top 10 reverse grid which has proven to cause some bump 'n' grid through the field with an important final in the afternoon to secure series points to find the Yokohama V8 Ute Champion by the end of the
year.
