Bikes - Dirt Richardson Aiming For A Good Result On Home Soil

When Isaac Richardson competes in this weekend’s (May 23 – 24) third and fourth round of NSW Junior Cross Country Series he is looking for a strong result in what will be his first two day event.

For the 13-year-old, who rides in the Under 13 85cc class, this will be his very first major event and also the first time he has contested a two day Cross Country event and he is very excited about the weekend.

“Cross Country is something that I really enjoy and I have been brought up around it since I was born,” said Richardson - who is in his second year of Cross Country competition. “My father [Jeff] competes too and he is always there to help and encourage me and of course the support of my mother Suzanne is always there as well.”

Results wise, Richardson has his sights set on achieving a top three finish overall in the Under 13 85cc class and he is hoping that a home track advantage can help his cause at Denman in the Hunter Valley of NSW.

“This is going to be my very first two day cross country event and the goal is to finish inside the top three of my class overall,” enthused Richardson. “With Denman being my home track I hope that a bit of local knowledge might work in my favour. Although a top three finish is the main goal, I will be happy if I can do the very best I can and be consistent over the two days.”

What Richardson likes most about Cross Country is racing against the clock and all the friends he has made and the enjoyment.

Richardson rides a Honda CRF 150cc and would like to say a big thanks to his parents Jeff and Suzanne for all their ongoing support.

The latest rounds of the both the NSW Junior Cross Country and Senior Pony Express Series’ are to be held over two days and starts at 9am on both days.

The Denman track is located at ‘Spur Hill’ which is 8kms East of Denman.

Further information about this weekend’s event can be obtained by contacting Ivan Burkhill from the Denman Motorcycle Club on 0417 472 380.
